Abaton SA attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU 2016/679).

1. Data controller

2. Data collected

• Booking & payment: name, e-mail, phone, booking details. Card data is processed by Stripe; we do not store it.
• Contact form: name, e-mail, message.
• Newsletter: e-mail (and first name), with your consent.
• Browsing: technical and audience-measurement data (see the cookie policy).

3. Purposes & legal bases

• Manage your bookings, payments and the customer relationship — performance of the contract.
• Respond to your contact requests — legitimate interest.
• Send the newsletter — consent.
• Improve the site and measure audience — consent.
• Comply with our legal and accounting obligations — legal obligation.

4. Recipients

Your data is never sold. It may be shared with the processors required to provide the service: Stripe (payment), Brevo (e-mails), Infomaniak (hosting) and Google (audience measurement), all bound to comply with the GDPR.

5. Retention period

Booking and invoicing data is kept for the period required by legal obligations; other data for as long as necessary for the purpose, then deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and may withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@theriver.be. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA): autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures (HTTPS, restricted access…) to protect your data.
